Hollywood and Fountain Hills duked it out and the Stars came out victorious.

Chris Benson, who finished 2nd in the NC in innings pitched with 235.1 in 2020, had a strong outing for the Hollywood Stars against the Fountain Hills 23ers at Fountain Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Victor Trevino was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 13 save opportunities.

Hollywood used a clutch at-bat from Mike Monia to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Stars ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Monia. "Those qualities define our team."

With the victory, the Stars record stands at 60-76.
