Stars Send Detroit Home with 9-2 Loss
The Hollywood Stars cut down the Detroit Giants by the score of 9-2, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder John Beck. Beck went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Stars. Hollywood now sits at 72-64, while Detroit falls to 69-67.

Hollywood got a big at-bat from Sugar Grove, Illinois native Matthew Little, who in the top of the second hit a 2-run double. It was his 21st double of the season and put the Stars ahead, 6-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Stars manager Alex Aguilera.
