Maroons Pin 6-2 Loss on Hollywood
|
Montreal parlayed a decent outing from starter Mark Moore into a solid win over the Hollywood Stars. The final score was 6-2. Moore yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 13-8. The Maroons now have a record of 58-77 with the win over Hollywood.
The Maroons got a big at-bat from center fielder Erik Hansen. For the game, Hansen went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 18th double of the season gave Montreal a 2-0 lead.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Moore told the Montreal Times. "It's as simple as that."
