The Philadelphia Marauders topped the San Diego Fleet, 8-7, the lion's share of the credit going to designated hitter Carlos Barreto. On the day, Barreto was 3-4 with 2 home runs for the Marauders. The win went to Malcolm Freeman in relief, making him now 5-2. Justin Pierce took the loss for San Diego.

Jim Borich helped out the Philadelphia cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1 for 1.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said San Diego manager Brian Burnett.

Philadelphia is now 79-56, 14½ games up in the American Conference North East Division.
