Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Whistlers beat the Reapers.
The Boston Whistlers picked up a win at Whislters Park, dropping the Carolina Reapers, 7-1. Pat Wilber, who is tied for 3rd in the AC in strikeouts with 86, was the difference-maker. After today's action, Boston sits at 33-23; Carolina slips to 28-28.
Jeff Beeson, who finished 3rd in the AC in hits with 192 in 2020, chipped in a 2-run single for Boston in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
