Reapers Suffer 10-7 Setback
The Chicago Gangsters downed the Carolina Reapers, 10-7, at The Hideout. The Gangsters were led by Kevin Crouch. Crouch went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. With the win, the Gangsters have a record of 51-83.

The Reapers had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Gangsters going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old first baseman Jason Reiss came to the plate. Reiss hit a 3-run home run on a 2-2 cutter from Carolina hurler Jimmy DeMoss. It was Reiss's 3rd home run of the year.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Carolina manager Felipe Arriaga.
