Detroit got a terrific game from third baseman Ramon Dozal. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Hollywood, 7-5. Dozal hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was Alfredo Tiscareno. He's now 9-13. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits for the Stars. The third-place Stars have won 7 in a row.

The Stars got a big at-bat from left fielder Tim Schellin. For the game, Schellin was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 32nd home run of the season gave Hollywood a 5-2 lead.
