Behind the bravura of designated hitter Jalen Joyner, the Detroit Giants topped the San Francisco Fire by the score of 18-3. Joyner went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Giants. The Giants win now puts them at 75-59.

The Giants got an important contribution from first baseman Angelo Mejia, who in the top of the fourth knocked a full count fastball to right for a 2-run double. It was his 34th double of the season and put the Giants ahead, 6-3.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Sean O'Leary said.
