Stars Drop Marauders, 6-4
|
The Hollywood Stars dealt the Philadelphia Marauders a 6-4 loss at Hollywood Grounds. Elijah Moody, who is tied for 5th in the NC in home runs with 25, was the star on offense. He was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs. Logan Mayhew picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 10-11. Picking up the save was 26-year old left-handed pitcher Pat Eisen.
The Stars extended their lead in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, Dan Wheeler hit a sacrifice fly to make it 5-3, Hollywood.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Wheeler told the Hollywood Daily.
Hollywood is now 71-63.
