McClung Brilliant as Dragons Top Trash Pandas, 1-0
|
Steve McClung, who is tied for 6th in the AC in wins with 13, never let the Trash Pandas get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Dragons to a win, 1-0. Rick Ways finished the game for Dallas and earned his 21st save. Dallas bumps their record to 46-87 with the win.
McClung, who dominated for Dallas, earned the victory to move to 13-8. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 3. Toronto batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Steve did a tremendous job," said Dallas manager Juan Gonzales.
