The timely hitting of John Austin helped the Austin Desperados down the Indianapolis Eagles, 3-2. Austin went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Desperados. With the win, Austin goes to 71-62, while the Eagles fall to 70-63.

Austin had a timely hit for Austin in the bottom of the seventh. With Austin trailing 2-1, he turned a 0-1 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season, making it 3-2, Austin.

After the game, Austin manager Adam Ponder applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
