Eric Daniel added some punch to the Hollywood offense, helping them outmuscle the Detroit Giants, 10-7. In the game, Daniel, who finished 3rd in the NC in slugging percentage with .544 last year, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Rick Hill earned the win for Hollywood. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 5-1. Jason Hollenbeck was called on to finish, recording his 23rd save.

Jamal Martin had an important at-bat. With one out in the bottom of the third, he hit a bases-clearing double. His 9th double of the season put Hollywood on top, 7-3.
