5 Straight Wins for Pines
The Maine Pines converted a terrific effort from starter Matt Graham into a win over the Phoenix Gladiators at Gladiators Ballpark. The Pines won the game by a final score of 4-2. Picking up the save was two-time All-Star Dan Mills. The first-place Pines have won 5 in a row.

Had Kevin Cremo not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Cremo hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Pines.

"Matt kept his poise and got the job done," said Maine manager Chris Ware. "He was outstanding."
