Fritz Pounds 2 Homers in 8-2 Royals Win
The Cincinnati Royals thumped the Halifax Heathens, 8-2, at The Castle. Jon Fritz was a big reason his team got the win. Fritz was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Lee Morgan picked up the win with 8.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 12-9. With the win over Halifax, the Royals improved to 74-58.

Fritz contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Cincinnati in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Fritz took a cutter from Chris Booth and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Royals to leap in front, 3-2.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Cincinnati manager Brad McBride.
