The Maine Pines knocked off the Dallas Dragons, 5-3, in National Conference action at Hannaford Dome. Maine pitcher and Miramar, Florida, native Justin Jemison had an outstanding performance. Reliever Dan Mills picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. Rick Ways took the loss. The victory gives Maine a record of 29-27.

Maine got a game-changing hit from Eric Hicks. The first baseman blasted a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"Justin was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Maine manager Chris Ware.
