Vitulli Strokes 5 Hits
|
Morgan Vitulli was the King of Swing today at The Castle today in the 8-1 Cincinnati Royals win over the Detroit Giants. The Cincinnati third baseman stepped into the batter's box 5 times against Detroit and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him.
"Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 5-for-5 isn't bad for your batting average either."
Morgan Vitulli singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
For the season Vitulli is currently batting .227 with 5 home runs and 39 RBIs. In 97 games he has reached base at a .282 rate and scored 31 runs to date.
