Invaders Get 3-1 Win Versus Carolina
Oakland used a superb performance from starting pitcher Dennis Allen to down the Carolina Reapers, 3-1. In 6.1 innings, Allen surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed no runs. Wade McGonigle closed the door for Oakland, picking up his 14th save of the year.

Steve McKinstry had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for Oakland. He came through with a solo home run to put Oakland in front, 2-0.

"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Allen.

The second-place Invaders bumped their record to 77-54.
