Reapers Handle Charleston, Snag 4-2 Win
David Edgemon pitched well, but his team, the Charleston Sea Dogs, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Carolina Reapers at Ballpark of Charleston. Tony Casablanca got the win, improving to 7-9. He held the Sea Dogs to 1 run on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 6. Jake Schmitt converted his 7th save in 9 tries.

Carolina used a well-timed hit by Mike Fearing to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Reapers ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Feels good to get the job done," Fearing said after the game.

After today's action, Carolina sits at 54-76; Charleston slips to 85-45.
