3-0 Win Sends Charleston to 87-43
In a tight contest between the Charleston Shiners and the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, Matt Schapp was the determining factor. The Charleston left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-0 win. Shane Kidd earned the save, his 20th. Charleston is now 87-43.

Charleston used a well-timed hit by Dusty Anderson to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Shiners ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We were trying to do a difficult thing -- winning a game without scoring," said Daytona Beach manager Edwin Gomez. "That's not going to work out."
