Wild Things Get One-Run Win at Vancouver
Mounties Field was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Cleveland Wild Things topped the Vancouver Mounties, 2-1, in American Conference action at Mounties Field. The standout performance belonged to Cleveland pitcher and North Charleston, South Carolina, native Kory Trost. Mike Walter got the save, his 20th in 26 chances.

Steve McKinstry, the 23-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. McKinstry contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Cleveland up, 1-0.

"Both teams played hard," said Cleveland manager Brandon Harper.

With the win, the Wild Things improved to 54-76.
