Dragons Suffer 4-1 Road Loss
|
The Halifax Heathens got a stellar effort from pitcher Jonathan Allen, helping Halifax score a win over the visiting Dallas Dragons, 4-1. Halifax, at 83-47, is 14½ games up in the American Conference South Division.
Leo Orozco, who finished 5th in the AC in OPS with .877 last year, came through for Halifax with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. The shortstop went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 2 runs batted in.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Heathens manager David Morris, "I like our chances."
