Hollywood Beats Fountain Hills, 4-3

With first baseman Eric Daniel leading the charge, the Hollywood Stars defeated the Fountain Hills 23ers, 4-3, at Fountain Park. Daniel, who is tied for 2nd in the NC with a .594 slugging percentage, went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Hollywood pitcher Bruce Gagnon earned the win, hiking his record to 2-2. Pedro Rodriguez suffered the loss. Hollywood is now 24-32, Fountain Hills 32-24.
Daniel had a timely hit for Hollywood in the top of the seventh. With Hollywood trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-1 slider into a 2-run double. It was his 10th double of the season, making it 4-3, Hollywood.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Daniel told the Hollywood Today.
