Pierce Lifts Marauders to 7-5 Triumph
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Marauders beat the Mounties.

The Philadelphia Marauders beat the Vancouver Mounties, 7-5, at Marauders Ballpark. Danny Pierce, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Dan Woods, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 3-4.

Philadelphia took a 7-4 lead on Pierce's 10th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Eric Sawyer in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Philadelphia to the win.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Pierce.

The triumph puts Philadelphia at 28-28 for the season.
