Late Offense Lifts Charleston to 6-4 Victory
Carolina got a terrific game from left fielder Moises Reyes. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Charleston, 6-4. Reyes slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Mario Barillas claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record stands at 5-4. Todd Thompson was credited with the save for Charleston, his 5th of the season.

Ryan Forsythe chipped in for Charleston, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4.

"Solid performance from our side," said Sea Dogs manager Chad Hart.

The first-place Sea Dogs lifted their record to 85-44.
