Tigercats left fielder Rich Lewis left his mark on his team's 6-4 win over the Miami Boll Weevils. Lewis went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Vail in the contest. Vail, at 37-19, is 9 games up in the Western AA Central Division.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Lewis hit a cutter from John Keefe for a 2-run home run. The Tigercats, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Vail manager Mike Alexander.
