Pines Go 10 Innings to Beat Halifax, 5-3
The Maine Pines beat the Halifax Heathens, 5-3, at Estadio Azteca. Maine first baseman Pete Roan led the way. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Ben Calder earned the save for Maine, his 1st of the year. With the victory, the Pines upped their record to 30-26.

Roan had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 0-1 slider from Chris Johnson, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Pines a 5-3 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Roan.

Roan called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
