Milkmen Earn 3-1 Home Win
|
Vermont and Vail duked it out and the Milkmen came out victorious.
The Vermont Milkmen downed the Vail Tigercats, 3-1, at Emeralds Ballpark. Stellar pitching by Cherles Lcio had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. The setback makes Vail 32-19.
Craig Kelley, who is tied for 2nd in the W-AA in runs scored with 40, contributed to the Vermont win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"Cherles kept his poise and got the job done," said Vermont manager Mike Barriga. "He was outstanding."
