Stars Earn 7-3 Win Against Marauders
Philadelphia got a big-time effort from pitcher Corey Gruver, but it wasn't enough to keep the Hollywood Stars from winning the game, 7-3. Gruver threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Pat Eisen picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-0. Vince Mellon, who finished 2nd in the AC in saves with 39 last year, was tagged with the loss. The Stars are now 27-28.

Hollywood needed the clutch hitting of Elijah Moody to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Stars on top, 5-3. For the game, Moody had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Moody called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
