The Boston Whistlers wasted an inspired, 8-inning effort from starter Kory Pullar, falling, 2-1, to the Chicago Gangsters at The Hideout. Keith Kramer closed the door for Chicago, picking up his 22nd save of the year. The Gangsters have now won 4 straight.

The Gangsters got a big at-bat from designated hitter Justin Wish. For the game, Wish was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Chicago a 2-0 lead.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Wish told the Chicago News.
