Cincinnati Rocks Miami, 11-2

The Cincinnati Bombardiers romped over the Miami Boll Weevils, 11-2, at Ballpark of Cincinnati. Darren Gemme led the way. He went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for Cincinnati. Heath Maughn, the winner, improved to 6-1. He held Miami to 2 runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 10 strikeouts. Cincinnati goes to 31-22. The win puts them 6 games up in their division.
Gemme had a key at-bat for Cincinnati in the bottom of the first. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was his 11th double of the season and gave Cincinnati an early 1-0 lead.
"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Cincinnati manager Nick Pauli.
