Scorpions Rally Late to Nip Firecats
|
The Sonoma Scorpions earned a close win over the Hialeah Firecats, thanks in part to Jose Ceballos. The Sonoma right-hander, who is tied for 9th in the W-AA in innings pitched with 62.2, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Jason Burget recorded the save for Sonoma, his 3rd of the season. Now 14-37, Hialeah has dropped 18 straight.
Sonoma catcher Sam Foster helped the Scorpions go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Foster hit a run-scoring single off Hialeah pitcher Armando Salas.
"Jose was dictating to their hitters," said Sonoma manager Keith Young.
