Ballpark of Miami played host to some real drama.

The Miami Boll Weevils defeated the Cornwall Royals in 11 innings, 5-4, in part because of right fielder Jamie Tripp. Tripp was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Boll Weevils. John Keefe picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-3. Scott Lewis was tagged with the loss.

Miami got a clutch hit from Aaron York. The catcher socked a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was game-ender.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Cornwall manager Ivan Cabrera said, following the tough loss.

The last-place Boll Weevils own a record of 15-35.
