Hercules, Capitols Get Tidy 1-0 Win Over Cincinnati
|
The Augusta Capitols got a stellar performance from pitcher Max Hercules, who handcuffed the Cincinnati offense en route to a win, 1-0, at Ballpark of Cincinnati. Stephen Boland recorded his 7th save for Augusta. The current losing streak for Cincinnati has reached 4 games.
The Capitols liked what they saw from Hercules. The 22-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Bombardiers to no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings, and striking out 7.
Afterward, Capitols manager Chris Clarke was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
