The Tampa Bay Captains picked up a win at Ballpark of Charleston, taking down the Charleston Shiners, 4-3, in 10 innings. On the mound for Tampa Bay was right-hander Danny Reyna. He played a central role in the triumph. Mike Weatherby earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 3-1. Jesse Vecchio recorded his 13th save for Tampa Bay.

Vinny Medina, the 9th overall pick in the 2015 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Medina contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Tampa Bay up, 4-3.
