Stars Get Hard-Earned Win
The Hollywood Stars did just enough to sneak past the Detroit Giants, 3-2, at Ballpark of Detroit. Hollywood pitcher Chris Phillips, in particular, had a standout performance. The 'W' lifts Hollywood's record to 21-34.

Hollywood used a timely hit from Jamal Martin to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stars ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Martin.
