Giants Walk It Off for 31st Win of Season
The Detroit Giants banked on Dave Shevlin and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the San Francisco hitters in check. The final score was 3-1, Giants. Detroit reliever Devin Wickliffe picked up the win, raising his record to 4-1. Marty Capone was tagged with the loss. The Giants lead the American Conference North East Division by 4 games.

Detroit got a knockout punch from Bill Shahan. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"My gosh almighty, Dave was tremendous," said Detroit manager Sean O'Leary.
