The Toronto Trash Pandas beat the Phoenix Gladiators, 10-2, at Gladiators Ballpark. Phil Tibbits, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Winston Caballero earned the win for Toronto. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 4-3. Jose Cabral locked down his 1st save.

Toronto used a well-timed hit by Mike Townsend to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Trash Pandas ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Trash Pandas manager Walt DeRosier.

The second-place Trash Pandas now have a win-loss record of 34-20.
