The Indianapolis Eagles eked out a 3-2 win versus the Austin Desperados at Eagles Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Victor Angel. He was terrific. Earning his 6th save for Indianapolis was James Gibson. The Eagles now own a record of 31-23.

Angel was in the zone all game. He frustrated Austin hitters while giving the Eagles 8 innings of quality work. Angel threw 106 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 8 punchouts.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Austin manager Adam Ponder. "We just didn't cash in."
