The Austin Desperados battled the Indianapolis Eagles into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Desperados won it, finally, 8-5, in 11 innings. In the game, Austin left fielder Matt Blevins was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Austin is now 24-29, while Indianapolis is 30-23.

John Austin provided a timely hit. The Austin center fielder delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the 11th inning to put the Desperados on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"Put the ball in play and good things will happen," said Blevins.
