Invaders Need Extra Frames to Get Past Eagles
The home team gave their fans plenty to cheer about, with a thrilling walk-off win.

Behind a solid performance from left fielder John Piscitelli, the Oakland Invaders defeated the Indianapolis Eagles, 10-8. Piscitelli went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Invaders. Casey Danis, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 15th. With no one out, Piscitelli hit a changeup from Mike Canales for a 2-run home run. The Invaders, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The crowd was raucous," said Piscitelli.

The Invaders, now 4-2, have been playing some good baseball.
