Royals Win, Bloms goes 4-for-4
The Cincinnati Royals beat the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles, 9-4, at Leatherback Park. Jay Bloms, in particular, was impressive. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The winner was Matt McCracken in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Josh Gatto took the loss. Daytona Beach is 2-4 after the loss.

Cincinnati won the game in part because of Aaron Jalbert. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Royals ahead, 6-4. For the game, Jalbert had 1 double and 2 home runs in 5 at-bats.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bloms.
