The Indianapolis Eagles wanted a good start from Brad Bixby -- and he delivered one. The result was a 4-2 Indianapolis win over the Cincinnati Royals at The Castle. The winner was Bixby. He threw 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Casey Abbott. The third-place Eagles lifted their record to 23-29.

Indianapolis took a 3-2 lead on Jesse Walker's 2nd triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Walker hit in the top of the seventh, left Cincinnati pitcher Casey Abbott visibly frustrated.
