The Detroit Giants captured an easy win, 13-4, over the New York Nightmare at Nightmare Stadium. Cameron Witt led the offensive barrage, going 2-for-4 for Detroit. New York is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 12 games.

With one out in the top of the seventh, Ben Barbone had a game-changing hit. The Giants second baseman slammed a 2-run single off Tony Morales, making the score 7-4, Detroit.

"We just can't get over the hump," said losing manager Joey Bishop.
