Gangsters Stay Hot, Beat Scorpions, 6-1

Pitcher Arnold Novak was sensational for the Chicago Gangsters in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Syracuse Scorpions. Novak earned the win. Novak picked up the win for Chicago, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. This win makes it 5 in a row for Chicago.
The Gangsters got an important contribution from second baseman Nick Pratt, who in the bottom of the first hit a 1-0 fastball to center for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Gangsters ahead, 3-0.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Pratt said after the game.
