Whistlers Win Nail-Biter
The Whistlers earned a hard-fought, 5-4 win in 10 innings at Ahoy Park. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Tampa Bay pitcher Ben O'Halloran. O'Halloran went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. With the win, Boston upped its record to 27-24.

Timely hitting helped the Whistlers beat the Captains. Prime example: the two-out double Kevin Cremo registered in the top of the tenth. Facing Ray Rorie, Cremo gave his team the lead, 5-4, when he hit a run-scoring double.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Ben Foster, the Boston manager.
