Brawlers Nip Marauders, 4-3
|
Chris Epstein impressed in the 4-3 Cleveland win over Philadelphia. Epstein went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Cleveland reliever Josh McQuaid picked up the win to move to 1-3. Dan Woods suffered the loss. Cleveland is third in the American Conference North East Division with a record of 24-27.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 14th for Cleveland. That's when 24-year old left fielder Cory Donaghy hit a run-scoring double off Dan Woods to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Epstein.
