Scorpions Reel-In 5-2 Win Over Chiefs
|
The Syracuse Scorpions stymied the Santa Fe Chiefs, 5-2, at Chiefs Ballpark. Nate Volk had a good day at the plate. He went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for Syracuse. Elijah Miller collected save number 11. The Scorpions now have a record of 17-34.
With Syracuse leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Volk hit a fastball from Braden Shaw for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 4-0.
"We're all smiles after that win," Volk told the Syracuse Gazette.
