Ayala Fires Shutout in Sea Turtles Victory
It wasn't easy but the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles made it look that way.

Starter Oscar Ayala shut out the Charleston Shiners despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles cruised to victory, 3-0. Ayala allowed only 6 hits and rang up 3 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

In 7 starts this season, Ayala has crafted a 4-3 record with a 2.95 ERA.
