Though the conditions were not ideal, the Cincinnati Royals and Indianapolis Eagles came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Jay Bloms had a big hand in the 10-4 Cincinnati triumph over Indianapolis. He rattled off 4 hits in 5 at-bats, scoring 3 times and knocking in 2 runs. Bill Rauch earned the win for Cincinnati. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 7-2. Jeremy Gray earned the save, his 1st.

In the bottom of the third, Cincinnati second baseman Jason Ramsey had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Ramsey stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 2-0, Cincinnati. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk.

"Good win," said Bloms. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."

The National Conference North East Division-leading Royals have a record of 34-16.
