Indianapolis third baseman Victor Mendez had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Cincinnati Royals, 7-6, in 10 innings. Mike Canales, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. The Eagles are now 22-28.

Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Javy Sanchez to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Eagles on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay.
