Reapers Take Tight Tangle
Mike Green made an impact in the 5-4 Carolina win over Maine. Green, who finished 4th in the NC in slugging percentage with .584 in 2023, went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win went to Bryan Mitchell in relief, making him now 1-0. Nick Slover took the loss for Maine. John Salgado collected his 2nd save.

Had Franklin Reyes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Reyes hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Reapers.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Reyes.
