Gladiators Suffer 6-5 Road Loss
The Chicago Gangsters beat the Phoenix Gladiators, 6-5, at The Hideout. Nick Pratt, who is a two-time All-Star, starred for Chicago. He was 2 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Brandon Williams earned the save for Chicago. Chicago is now 15-34, while Phoenix is 31-18.

Had Kevin Crouch not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Crouch hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Gangsters.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Crouch told the Chicago News.
