Dragons Use Late Push to Top Scorpions
The Dallas Dragons topped the Syracuse Scorpions, 6-3, with shortstop Jay Pearson playing a big role. Pearson was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Dragons in the win. Mike Braasch nailed down his 18th save. The American Conference South Division-leading Dragons have a record of 27-21.

Dallas took a 6-3 lead on Pearson's 7th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off John Landgren in the top of the eighth, propelled Dallas to the win.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Syracuse skipper Josh Gifford.
